PROJECTS - Exit and Retention Interviews

Failure to retain experienced staff can be costly to an organisation. One also needs to take into account the loss of knowledge. It is therefore vital to recognise this and take proactive steps to reduce staff turnover and determine ways to retain employees. The process involves having a one-on-one discussion with the job incumbent using a semi-structured interview.

Exit interviews

Generally exit interviews are not contemplated until an employee resigns, however used wisely and correctly can be a very helpful and practical tool for an organisation moving forward. The benefit of this research helps to assist you with the overall performance of the organisation, particularly now at a time where the employment market is experiencing a shortage of skill.

The value of exit interviews:

Improve employee retention and reduce turnover.

Increase company objectivity by having employee exit interviews handled by a fair and non-partisan third-party.

Benchmark against industry and company norms for the exit interview survey items.

Compare exit interview scores against overall Employee Satisfaction Tracking Survey to determine if employee satisfaction impacts turnover.

Track trends in employee exit interview satisfaction to measure improvements made.
