Management Development

1. Art of Management (AOM)
The Art of Management is an intervention that was developed with the specific focus on first line managers, focusing on self-knowledge, understanding the difference between management and leadership, and techniques that managers have to be able to deal with on a daily basis. The programme runs over 6 months with 6 weeks theory. Between the theory weeks, participants are observed to identify on the job behavior and to coach them where necessary.

2. Middle Management Mastery Programme (MMMP) (In development)
Working in a middle management capacity can be challenging, but also stretching the capacity of the individual. The middle manager has to act as the balancing pole between authority (from top management) and responsibility (for their area and incumbents). Typically when things go wrong in their section, middle management’s names are on the tip of everyone’s tongue but when things go right, someone else sometimes gets the credit.

The purpose of this programme will be to optimise psychometric tools, on-the-job observations and individual discussions to develop tailor made workshops for participants in order to enhance their performance.

3. Managing Self Development Programme (MSDP)
Although not an Assessment Centre developed intervention, the Assessment Centre is involved in presenting the Managing Self Development Programme for one client. The MSDP is part of the Talent Pipeline. It is a 3 day workshop that was develop for people to realise their full potential in order to manage themselves effectively. The programme is divided into 3 modules, i.e. Knowing Myself, Relating to Others and Understanding Business Requirements.
