Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment is the most widely used measure of personality. Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers developed it in the early 1940s based on the theory of the pioneering Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. The model describes patterns of preferences in four dichotomies of personality type:

  • Information-gathering processes
  • Decision-making processes
  • Orientation of energy and focus of attention
  • Lifestyle and orientation to outer world

Belbin Team Roles

Belbin found that for effective team working nine team roles are needed. Individuals undertake particular team roles as a function of the individual’s personality traits. People engage in behaviours to make an effective contribution to team performance. These behaviours could be grouped into a set of related clusters to which the term “team role” is applied.

Team Emotional and Social Intelligence

The Team Emotional and Social Intelligence (TESI) measure emotional and social intelligence in teams and this information is used to strategically improve performance and success of a team. It measures 7 components namely:

  • Team identity
  • Motivation
  • Emotional Awareness

  • Positive Mood
